Getting tips for running workshops by learning out loud

“You know every time anyone asks me to run a workshop, I panic. Despite 24 years exp in L&D, facilitating is one of the hardest & challenging roles for me. I am SO anxious standing up in front of others “telling”. I think this has held me back in many ways. How do I overcome it?!”

This is one of the reasons that I love to read Helen Blunden’s tweets and blogs and watch her video’s. She’s a very well respected learning designer with followers from all over the world, and yet she tweets about panicing before every workshop she gives: https://twitter.com/ActivateLearn/status/1169743094629068801?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1169776685379551232&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.maschavandeweer.nl%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D15996%26action%3Dedit%26classic-editor Others from the field reply with all kinds of…

Benefits of a daily diary and topic journals

Read Benefits of a daily diary and topic journals | Derek Sivers by Derek Sivers

Flip your presentation format

Liked Flip your presentation format by Pat Thomsom (patthomson.net)
The flipped narrative starts the same way as the default. You pose your problem or question and explain why it’s important. But now, you provide your answer straight away. You then spend the remainder of the time showing your audience how you reached that conclusion.
